listies up for thursday and friday
DD2 asked if her friend could stay tomorrow night and for some ludicrous reason I said I guessed so.. but she would have to tidy her room so we could pull out her guest bed.. this room is a bearpit!!!! Anyway off she trotted at 8pm.. she had 1 hour before bedtime! I went up to wash my hair about 9ish and told theboys to get in their pits and she had done loads.. but she really has no idea about tidying.. i said to her put the stuff she wants to keep on the landing and then the rubbish can just be scooped into the bin.. so WE did that, then I made her throw out her 2nd to last pair of school shoes with holes in the soles!.. then I (notice how this changed from her to WE to I??) made her fill 2 binbags with bears and WE filled 2 binbags of rubbish. I dragged ALL the stuff from under, behind and at he foot of her bed.. exposing the damp wall I told her not to bury because it would be soggy... I stripped her bed, changed her sheets, made her do the pillow covers and tidied ALL her clothes into her chest of drawers.. I said seeing as she did do a lot of it herself I will vacuum her room tomorrow IF she lugs Henry up the stairs before she goes to school in the morning. It is actually now possible to open the door wide enough to get in and out without turning sideways, we can walk on the floor, we can see the window, I may even be motivated to make her curtains providing I am feeling ok tomorrow.. which of course means I have to stop at the shop to get her a curtain pole and get that up too.. she has a blind but I got some black voiles with sequins on which I am lining with black bedsheets (cheaper than lining fabric and i needed the fitted ones for DD1's room).. when I get the sewing machine out of the cupboard.. they will probably take me about half an hour to get them completely made and I have been putting them off for about 9 months!
I am now going to bed and I'll wash my hair in the morning when it is possible to lean over the bath without parting with my dinner!
I have also... decrumbed my keyboard so my letters are working better though I am still having issues with my L and my [shift] buttons.. may need a needle to sort those!
DS1 peeled spds for dinner.. he has NEVER done anything remotely useful before
DD1 folded 1 load of aundry.. she ignored the other 5 but 1 is better than nothing.. and now I know both CAN do this stuff... well.. I WILL be taking full advantage.
I left the towels and jeans out on the line.. they had barely dried so they will be ok for another day outside
I am quite pleased with DS1, DD1 and DD2 they have done a fair bit in and around the house lately.. and DS1 is great for sending off to shop for stuff I have forgotten to buy or when he has glugged all the milk
Deflea'd Jacob.. he is permanently hopping!! and OH, but he didn't have any..
Triker.. how is the trotter?
