  • I seem to be going off piste a bit with the lists, but still getting things done.

We have now decluttered enough of the stuff filling the dining room to be able to give the carpet a much needed hoover. The remaining dozen boxes/crates have been consolidated in to a smaller area and are no longer spilling out into the passage way to the kitchen (dining room open plan to rest of house).

So it feels at last like we are making headway and the house doesn't feel quite such a tip.:j

OK. S*d what was or what was not. Need to focus. Actually, maybe focus on the fact that I can have an all expenses paid holiday to Paris (including drinks) which otherwise I'd be foregoing:) Husband and parents quite relieved I think.

Flying wise - kitchen immaculate. Bathrooms cleaned. Floordrobe cleared (to find outfits suitable for Paris). WM x2. Now where is my passport?

Dustykitten thanks for the thoughts and Paulies as well (actually - do you prefer that or nixie?)

    List

I have from 9 till 3 tomorrow by myself and really, really need to get ontop of some stuff in this hovel so aiming to get lots done with lots of loud music

Will be doing some ironing tonight as its a month since I did a proper iron and you can't see the DR table at the moment and I've had to stop doing washing until ironing pile is decreased cos there is nowhere for the cleaned stuff to go

I'm much happier than earlier - having kids forces the bad moods away sometimes cos you have to concentrate on them instead of yourself!! Thank you for the support - I don't have friends in real life as we are a very together couple but at times like this you so need to offload sometimes so a huge thank you to one and all x

    Evening ladies

First time lurking this week and spotted the very sad news about MoneysavingDiva. My heartfelt sympathies go out to her friends and family, I hope wherever she is now that they enjoy the more colourful place it will be with her presence.

    Love and hugs to all

    Hey all -

Im sorry to dash in and out! Its bit of a manic time here - its DS birthday tomorrow, so lots needing to be done!! Im exhausted and drained this week too, so not sure if Im coming down with something but I hope not! I dont have the time... :rotfl:

I know Piggers is having a hard time, as is Vanilla so hugs for you both.

Piggers - I feel your pain...I found some texts from an ex which apparently he isnt in contact with... on saturday! I wasnt snooping though - it just flashed up on the phone when I was there! For good measure - she text again on Sunday after she saw us out together! In fairness to OH, these were only received - nothing was sent...but is that only because I was there?! :-/

Anyway - I have far more important issues to deal with at the minute, like this house and LO birthday tomorrow
