hi everyone
running on empty today. No flying apart from some baking for the school cake stall tomorrow (& clearing up the kitchen afterwards). Am down about the dining room looking a mess, when it's usually the best in the house.. I have decluttered an old 35mm camera on freecycle though. Absolutely shattered, & haven't eaten dinner yet. CBA to make anything now, so a cup of tea and then bed I think.
piggers & vanilla thinking of you both. Hope today was better than yesterday.
hugs and spoons to LL, LW & toots

Brought DD's laptop back from the brink - she'd almost cooked it by keeping it on the bed rather than the desk.
Started with the intention of flying today. Got as far as yet another unsuccessful Stardrops search (not Sains, not Tesc, not ASDA, not Morr, not 99p or pound shops, not little independents, Iceland and no Wilkinsons for miles) and then spotted some long black troughs and some baby's breath and some hollyhock root sections. Oh, and some snowdrops and a heather. And a pink climbing rose.
Tried shifting the water butt a bit as the builders put it on its stand without noticing one part scallops in to allow a watering can or bucket to go under the tap. Couldn't shift it due to it being full, so decided to move the mini greenhouse a bit.
Next thing I know, it's 4.30pm, the greenhouse is over the other side of the patio, the slabs have had a good going over with rainwater and a stiff brush, everything is planted, mostly out the back with extra soil from expired plants, but some out the front, loads of stuff that hasn't budged since I moved in and made the garden look like a scrappie yard got relocated in the big wooden bin disguised as a shed, I have decided that although there appears to be some soil under the turf, I'm going to have to build raised beds for veggies.
Oh, and DD was wondering what had hit me.
Trouble is, as the steroid shot I get for RA has worn off (the hospital cancelled my scheduled appointment and shoved it back a month AGAIN), I can hardly move. Been limping like I've been hobbled. Even DD says she can see the difference from before Christmas, when I was up before her and doing everything. At least she does actually notice and isn't totally oblivious to the fact.
Oh well, just her orthodontist appointment tomorrow. I do hope that she is bad enough to get braces free on the NHS. My eldest wasn't bad enough, so her friends now have perfect teeth, whilst hers are wonky and can't be cleaned properly. They do seem to be very crowded.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Must go to bed. I have a day off tomorrow for a cake decorating class (I'm STILL using up the retraining grant from my redundancy 18 months ago) so need to be up and out nice and early!
have fun flying tomorrow...0 -
Popping in again, thankyou again for all the birthday wishes. Just come back from babysitting DGC and DD1 on the drive home played me their wedding dance song, i filled up but didn't tell her
It's a beautiful love song by bonjovi my favourite band. Think it's called these 5 words. Definately getting eyelashes dyed for wedding day:D.
Just decluttering a vodka and coke and chocs.
Will get back to flying tomorrow but OH is taking me out for dinner as i don't have DGC till after half term and mine are still at school tomorrow.
Hugs to all and coping vibes and sticks and spoons, good luck with interview tomorrow, and glad you are feeling better Helen Jelly. Sorry if i've missed anyone but after 1 vodi and coke i get squiffy, cheapest date in town me.:rotfl:Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away. – Hilary Cooper
