Good morning all!
I had my bed stripped before i knew it was Master bedroom day! The bed is airing at the moment. We have sun, so the bedding will get some time outside hopefully!
Washing up done, DD2 decluttered to school - she has plans to go into town and cinema this pm - they are going to see Never Let Me Go at 4pm. She was mighty relieved to discover that I am going to a 6.20 showing at a different cinema!
DS has had his hours cut at McDonalds (they all have) so isn't in till 3pm.:( So I have paid to replace 2 bald tyres on his car and he will pay me back! (Yeah right!)
Sounds like DD1 is up:D - she used to sleep until 11am - it is so good having her up at a more normal time!:T:T:T
Off to make her a cuppa and then phone my friend who lost her mum on monday....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Morning lovelies
Kids have been decluttered to school and college, dog walked, milk bought now I can sit and chill for ten minutes with a :coffee:. I dont tend to function if ive not had a coffee so I wasnt impressed when their wasnt any milk left this morning!
Im quite enjoying my new work rota, I work 35 hours (5 shifts) 1 week then 14 hours (2 shifts) the following week so over the weeks its averages out at 24.5 hours. Means on week 2 I get to catch up on all my jobs.
Half term next week and the kids have told their dad that they do not want to go to his for a full week because its boring :rotfl:, so therefore they are now going Wednesday to Sunday. (I dont think he was impressed as he seems to think that in the kids eyes hes the dogs b*ll*cks haha how wrong is he!!! It is still costing me money to send them (£30) but he wanted me to drive them to his (2 hours away) as he couldnt afford the petrol but it would of cost me £100 to fill my car to make a journey I dont have to do.
Anyway thats my coffee decluttered im off to make a start on my bedroom. Floordrobe needs sorting and bed needs changing.

Happy Birthday Furballhave a wonderful day
Im nervous today, more anxious probably I always get like this before OH comes back its knowng that its one more sleep
have made the bed, opened the curtains and fed and watered the cat. im going to go and clean the bathroom in once the washer has finished in a few mins then get myself ready and get on with my list. will post my list later as need to crack on wiht everything.0 -
Mudders - Im an ex army wife and was used to ex hubby being away 7 months a year. My adivce to you is go for it BUT only if you can handle being a single parent for the time he is away and you have a good support network (eg family and friends). You can guarantee that something always happens when they are away eg car breaks down, washer blows up, fuses blow so not only do you become mum and dad you also become car mechanic, electrician and a maintenance person as well as referee, disciplinarian and agony aunt. As long as you have broad shoulders and can balance the load then you will be fine.
The hardest thing I found was when they came home, its strange releasing all the extra responsibility you had and returning to being mum and wife. I think its also hard for the bloke returning as they feel somewhat "lost" as to what their role is but it soon all falls back into place.Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

How have you managed that!!! Obviously you have done more than sweet FA. Suggest you make a nail appointment ASAP as we girlies all know its near the end of the world when we break our nails. I for 1 wouldnt go out in public until it had been put right lol x

bit of a rubbish week so far for flying. Haven't managed to get much of anything done for packing/doing other things. Though on the plus side, it means most of the master bedroom has already been done for today
Don't even know if we've definitely got the house yet either (waiting for credit/reference check to come through) and the wait is doing my head in and keeping my stress levels fairly high (not a patient person!). Ho hum, shall keep packing as though the place is ours - if I don't, I'll get a fright if we need to move in 2 weeks time.
