Talk Talk to Sky direct LLU

Hello moneysavers, having sky tele it would appear (on the face of it) to make sense to have phone and broadband in the same place. Currently I have both phone and broadband with Tiscali/Talk Talk.
Only a few months ago I rang sky and the operator stated that I would have to go back to bt for at least 1 years line rental. Is this correct. My local exchange according to sam knows website has local loop unbundling. Cannot sky simply install their own LLU equipment allowing me to swap both phone and internet at the same time. Many thanks.

if your exchange has LLU from sky then they will move it straight across. if not then don't bother moving to sky look to another provider0

Sky are seemingly one of the only LLU ISP's who will attempt to undertake direct LLU to LLU transfers, so I suggest you try them again.
Some people doing this report success, some not. In the latter case you would have to go back to BT line rental first on a return to donor, which means a gap in service.
As deano says, don't even consider Sky if not LLU, as you would be on the dire Sky Connect service. No free lunch, and no free laptop
