Vodafone - Absoloute exchange Carp....

Options
Hi all new to this as you can see...

I am looking for advice from anyone who may have experienced this sort of issues with vodafone...

The issue...
I was one of the unfortunate customers to take a contract in december 2009 with a Samsung 360 H1, 2 weeks ago i rang and complained because i was sick of the phone locking up, so they sent a replacement straight away.... The replacement still locked up and this time i could not update the vodafone shop app therfore i could not download applications.. Complained and they sent me another on friday, this one now has all the issues of the above ++&& now the signal keeps dropping... (my mum has a nokia on vodafone thats how i can determine its the phone and not our service area)... so slowly the phones are getting worse...

Once again i rang Voda today and complained and they offered me a complete change of phone, which was some Nokia that you can buy on PAYG for £80 with a 2mp camera, 70mb intern memory, where as the H1 i have been paying for is 5 or maybe 8mp camera and 16GB intern memory...

They will not offer me anything better and only to the value of my phone today which they call as £90, i'm not expecting top notch latest out, just like for like interms of camera more than anything...

when i pointed out to the lady i have been paying £35 a month since dec 2009 for a phone at the time that was worth £500+, so i have been buying the phone not just mins etc, and that i was now going to completely lose all that if i took this swap, she was un-interested and started telling me Vodafones terms and conditions are water tight and there is nothing i can do :mad:

Can anyone please advise on anything? Really is appreciated and sorry for this being so long winded... Thanks in advance

  • Hi Vince I can understand you frustration however a DMR (Different Model Replacement) is a Good will gesture and something that the mobile networks dont have to offer ! However if they are going to offer a replacement then it should be something simular to what you already have. Would give Voda CS another call and (calmly) escalate.
  • I can understand what you mean by it being a good will gesture, but all I have found on the net about this particular phone is complaints, the Voda forum is full of them, and they even discontinued the phone due to issues, therefore I would have expected a re-call, but offering me something like they have I actually feel insulted seeing as I have already paid so much for the phone, and they cant even ask me to go to Samsung over the issue as it is an actual Vodafone phone.

I will try as you said and see where i get anyhow, and will get back to you :)

    Cheers

    Hi vince16263

I’m sorry to see that you’re continuing to have problems with your handset, even after your replacements. I’d like to take another look at the issues you’ve been having your with your handset, so that we can determine from there what the best course of action would be going forward.

So that I can access the details from your account, if you could please e-mail us through our website via Contact Us, using WRT135 as the subject title, and the link to this thread, I’m sure we can have this issue sorted in no time.

    Kind Regards

  • Thanks anyway but the issue has now been resolved in turns out that using the e-mail the CEO function and explaining the issue seems to work much better than calling the basic customer services.

    Thanks anyway Simon
