I returned some items I purchased from Zucci which amounted to £75 and even though they has been signed for I have been waiting for over two weeks for a refund. No one will answer my calls or return my emails and frankly I'm getting really frustrated.
I have contacted Watchdog and Consumer Direct and urge you all to do the same! You can just Google the names for the links.
Its even more annoying that the guy is trading under Designer Clothing UK - the email address for this new company is helpdesk(at)designerclothinguk(dot)com
Check DailyPost(dot)co(dot)uk and search for "wrexham businessman scores with his shops and online sales!" DESPICABLE!0 -
Folks,
It looks like i am one of many who have been swindled out of some cash. Ordered 2 items on 25 January and heard absolutely nothing since. £77 out of pocket and a whole lot of frustration to show for it.
I have googled furiously over the past few days and by the looks of things the shop in wrexham has closed down. I beleive the adress Unit E, Bryn Business Centre, Bryn Lane,Wrexham, LL13 8AD will prove to be fruitless as i have not read of anyone being able to contact these people succesfully.
On the upside, Duane Roberts is on www (dot) linkedin (dot) com and you can contact him directly if you sign up and pay the joining fee of c. £24. Its up to you if you wish to waste anymore money on this person. I quote "Independant Internet Professional" pff....obviously a complete crook!!!!!
Good luck to everyone trying to recover their cash.0 -

This is a shame as I am a long time member of MSE and have helped track down many businesses that have done a runner but I am surprised at Zucci as I have shopped there for loads of things over the years and never had a problem. Seems the current climate has got hold ofthem.
Designer Clothing UK has been round for a while too. Will take a further look in the monring0 -
I feel lucky - I ordered some Pretty Green stuff and had the same issue but I spoke to a guy called "Danny" at the shop in the end and got a refund.
The review website I used seemed to be full of fake reviews to up the stars if you know what I mean...
Anyway, I use creditsafeuk and looking at it he's got an outstanding CCJ of about £8k and a meeting of creditors has been arranged.
Hope your cc companies help you out.0 -

Thanks for correction omen666. It is worth noting it is free to join. I may have been a tad harsh in my previous post. Retrospectively looking back at Zucci they did start out to be reputible onlinde retailer. It may be that the recent downturn have got a hold of them. I was not aware the other website with the same registered details was in existance at the same time as Zucci.
I have some bad news...
Zucci Ltd went into Voluntary Liquidation on 08 February 2011. A meeting of the company's creditors took place today [01 March 2011]. I have been told to contact Royce Peeling Green Ltd, who i believe to be the appointed liquidators, for further information - contact details below:
Royce Peeling Green Limited
The Copper Room
Deva Centre
Trinity Way
Manchester
M3 7BG
TEL:01616080000
E: info [at] rpg [dot] co [dot] uk
I hope to lodge a claim. Taking into account any fee the liquidators take spread over the all claims [X], every pound owed less X will be returned if a claim is succesful. This is better than nothing.
I hope this helps people.0 -
Wayback machine gives contact info from July 2009 as...
No idea if that's any help though.
Also no idea if the above address is where the 'new' company is trading from, as there is no address at all on their website.
The wayback machine looks AMAZING. (Seems to be kinda down at the moment though.) I'm blaming you for the inevitable sleepless night(s) to follow
