Can I transfer £1k from my RBS account to reward account no.1 then transfer to no. 2 then 3.
then transfer £1k back to rbs ? and still get the 5ers ?
and also to clarify can claim back the tax on my wifes account as she is a student

If she's not a tax payer, and won't be a tax payer this tax year, she can claim the tax back.0 -
Just to confirm there is no requirement for funds to come from an outside source.
My setup is similar to most; Personal account, Partners personal account, joint account and an online saver with £1000 in.
4/5th of the month I log into online banking and transfer the £1000 from the savings account to my personal account. Halifax then transfers the money from there via standing order through my partners account to the joint account then back on to the savings account where it sits until next month. Rinse and repeat.
Every so often I just hoover up the £5's into the savings account manually (can do this via SO but given the OD fees I'd rather not take the risk of an error and the fees kicking in). I have always got the £5 rewards, I have never used the accounts (other than taking the odd £10 ATM withdrawal out to keep the card active) and I also receive the £5 for £300 spend on the credit card too.0
