i have got a cashback contract with t mobile through cool new mobile and i need to claim my first cashback which should be in month 4 but iam confused about which bill to send and i do not want to send them the wrong bill as that will invalidate all my cashback claims. i would be grateful if someone could workout the bill i need to send from the following information:

i got the phone on 18/7/06 and it was connected straightaway and on 20/7/06 i recieved my first bill (20th of the month is my billing date) which showed charges for the period 18-19/7/06 and line rental from 20/7 to 19/8.

ami correct in assuming that i should send them the bill dated 20/11/06??

i tried to phone them but i was waiting on the line for over 10 minutes and then i hang up (0870 number).

Specifically, their instructions state: "Send us the claim form and original bill that arrives showing you’ve been connected for 4 months. i.e. if you were connected on the 1st of January, you need to send in the bill that is dated around the 1st of May. This is 120 days (4 months) after connection. "

You say that you were connected on 18/07 and your bill seems to corroborate this so 14/11 would be your 120th day (inclusive of your connection day) - the first bill that is dated after this date would indeed be the one dated 20/11.

You could look at this another way...the 20/10 bill will only demonstrate THREE months of connection and the 20/12 bill will demonstrate in excess of FIVE months of connection so the 20/11 bill is the bill that best fits the stated requirements.

And it needs to be sent within 30 days of the bill dated 20/10, so act fast and he'll be fine.
