How to deal with O2 default
Options
Hi all,
In 2007 I borrowed my friends pay monthly phone and asked him to change the direct debit to me. I also asked him to change personal details in the internet login, so I can get the monthly statements to my address on my name. Some how, in o2's computer system its showing that im the main account holder. due to that reason i usually contact them with no problem. In aug 2008, i cancelled the contract and cancelled my direct debit. The last bill was raised in sept that i have not noticed it due to i change my address. later in nov 2008 my friend recieved a warning letter saying he owed money to o2. so i called o2 and settled the money. O2 left three payments default on my credit report.
Now, I am thinking of taking a mortgage this default in my credit report will effect my approval.
Is there anyway i can delete the default without my friend getting affected, any help is really appreciated.

I would be surprised if you could remove a valid default.0

Its almost impossible to remove a mobile phone default ! The issue is that they dont need to send paper work of a defualt like a bank as they are not regulated under the CCA. Have a look at the following link
http://www.learnmoney.co.uk/credit-file/mobile-defaults.html for some ideas. Good luck I have tried and failed with my H3G defaults0
