Upgrading a phone (do it yourself face lift - help needed)

Hi I have a samsung d600 which is ok, (I ve had it for a yr and it is working ok, it just has a few scratches etc,) on ebay I found a wholenew face, back, screen etc for a face lift - it costs about 12.00 delivered and the question now is - can i change it myslef (is it difficult?) to take it apart and swap things over and put it together?> or shall i take it to carphone wearhouse where they do a refurb - for 40£ parts included? what do you reacon?

    i wouldnt buy a copy housing as it never fits as good as original, no matter what the seller claims
  • We've just changed the housing on a Nokia 6111 which is also a slide phone, brought fascia/housing from ebay tried to do it ourselves to find out that we needed a special tool and so took it mobile phone man on the market and he changed it for a fiver.
