Monthly Allowance Problems

Hi. Does anyone know if it`s generally possible for a provider to cap usage so that it is impossible to incur charges over and above the contracted monthly amount? Sorry dont know too much about mobile contracts and payg is not an option in this case. Thanks.
No, because the only way the network get any money is by you going over the allowance. There are plenty of ways to check the allowance, so you have to exercise some self-control, I'm afraid.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Three are the only network that will allow you to do this just ask the sales person to do it when you sign up in store
couple of caveats tho
overseas roaming cannot be capped as these charges are not levied by 3
if your account is in credit for any reason you can exceed your limit until the credit balance hits zero0 -
t-mobile have capping.
For example, you can be on a £15 per month deal giving 500 mins and you can set it up that you cannot spend more. In effect, you will not be able to make any chargeable calls (08 numbers, calls abroad).0
