Transferring MS Office from a laptop to a netbook

Hi all Don't usually post in here but hoping someone with knowledge can help me out. I have a laptop with Office 2007, and a new netbook with Office starter. I optimistically copied the 2007 files from my laptop to the netbook so I could use the full suite of applications, and then hunted for a setup.exe file or similar to…

Did the Netbook come with MS Works? This used to be a useless package but on Win7 version this has a real word processor that can open & save docx files and a spreadsheet that can open & save xlsx. The one that came on my recent netbook is not trialware, but has ads for MS products in the bottom right corner.
