That's the problem with using brokers.
Maybe direct is the best way to go.0 -
Saga are the same as any other insurer, they will massively overcharge on renewals. We just moved my MIL away from them as they offered insurance at over £300 for renewal, whereas the AA were £170, with £38 cashback.
It seems even a company that targets only the elderly, still have no scruples.
Saga is for over 50s. You think that is elderly? uh oh :eek:0 -

Saga charge two excesses (as do the AA) even if the policy is with the same insurer, and they now have a £150 escape of water excess, so any claim for an escape of water under buildings and contents would have a £300 excess.
PS: Saga or AA aren't brokers as such, they're intermediaries, there's a subtle difference, but if you go to a broker, they should be making sure you've got a suitable policy, intermediaries are only going to sell your their policy, going through their panel of insurers.0
