Co-op insurance have cancelled my partners car insurance

Well I was sure of this, but all they did is repeat themselves like a stuck record to try and fobb me off.
Well this letter may be my golden ticket to reinstatement, unless I can be sure that this cancellation will not cause us any more grief or cost in future.0 -
Still not had the letter that was promised  this is getting beyond a joke.
Spoke to a team leader yesterday who could not apologise enough and promised to get a letter sent via email and by post by the end of the day....Guess what she called me at 8pm last night to say that she could not do it yet and is passing it onto another team leader to sort it out today.
I have totally lost all confidence in the Co-oprative insurance. All they do is make promises and not keep them, they have let me down 6 times now!! Every letter they send comes a week late.
We were even driving the family car uninsured for over a week and did not even know about it, I dread to think what could have happened. How can it take nearly two weeks to just send us a letter.
Utterly incompetant, they shouldn't be selling insurance at all!!0 -
Just tried getting a car insurance quote from Yes car insurance (another subsidery of BISL ltd along with Cooperative who cancelled our policy in error)
The quote shot up from £500 to £1200 after discussing the cancellation in error by Cooperative insurance. Now we cannot afford so much and this is because Cooperative insurance made an administration error.
What do we do?0 -
As above.....Stick a formal complaint in, send in COPIES of the letter you have confirming the new payment method and a letter from you bank confirming that no attempt was made to take payment and I can't see how they can defend.
Keep a track of any extra costs you have incurred and add those in tooI'd be pushing for them to reinstate the old policy, it's not impossible, you just need to get high enough up the company food chain0
