You need to get back onto OR now before they finish for the day. Tell them you still have no money, no heat, no light, no food etc and ask them what they are going to do?
Which account does your CB and TC go to? If it's the Halifax they have to release at least that.
Finally do you have a cheque book with your account. Your cheque guarantee card isn't scanned.

Hi sorry to hear about your problems. Have been going through old posts but can't find what i'm looking for. On here (ages ago) There was a post about the way the Halifax treated another expectant mum-they had If anyone can remember the post it would be worth looking up.her in tears and were totally disgusting. If I remember correctly it went to head office and outside agencies (think the MP) got involved. Warms the heart doesn't it? Keep your head up we are all with you.Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

She went on very loudly and asked where the money in the bank was from and i when i replied wage cheques (my oh is self employed) she informed me that this was ny oh money and not mine anyway.
Is *ANY* of the money from WTC/CTC or benefits - I'm pretty sure that's payable to the mother by default and therefore yours and besides they can't touch benefits - might be enough to get you some gas/food for a few days.0 -
so sorry to hear about your treatment. I don't know anything about bankcruptcy and your rights, but I do know that you should not be treated the way you were by teh Halifax, especially as you acted reasonably in requesting a private room to have the discussion in.
I think it is diisgraceful how the treated you, regardless of your financial situation. The very least they could do was to politely and calmly explain the situation to you. I suggest writing a strongly worded letter both to the manage of the branch, the bankl head office and the CEO (or equivalent). cc it also to your local MP and your OR as well.
thinking of you - remember to try and stay as calm as possible (very hard I know) you must think of the kids and the baby. Not good to have a mummy who is so stressed out. ((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!

I went into the bank yesterday after speaking to the OR who said she would fax a letter through to them on our behalf.
I went straight into the halifax and asked the lady if i could speak to somebody in private as it was a delicate matter and a very small town and she asked what i wanted to complain about! i replied no complaint and tried to explain the situation with the support of my mum who was told to mind her own business as this acount had nothing to do with her! She went on very loudly and asked where the money in the bank was from and i when i replied wage cheques (my oh is self employed) she informed me that this was ny oh money and not mine anyway. By this time i was in tears and I asked again for a private room and was told no.The lady stood behind me heard every word andf passed me a complaints procedure leaflet!!
Surely you've got something here about the data protection laws? They refused you a private room, even though you explained it was a delicate matter, there is now some woman out there who knows details of your life that she has no right to know!
I know bankruptcies are listed in the local paper, so technically they're not private - but this is ridiculous! Presumably they would have given you a private room if you wanted to complain!
Is there anyone who can at least lend you a small amount for a few days so you can buy food & pay for the gas & electric?Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

You are legally entitled to ask for your pay in cash. So in the interim I suggest you do this. You'll probably find that paying cash is very effective at controlling spending!0

Sorry to hear of your situation. Can't help with any advice regarding the money situation but there may be additional benefits that you can claim.
Pick up an application for a Sure Start grant from your local job centre. If you're entitled to it you will be given a £500 grant that does not need to be paid back, your midwife will stamp this form for you.
Also at your next appointment as your midwife yo provide you with a free milk form from the Welfare food scheme, some details about this are below.
