UK - abroad using SMS?

Have 200 sms per month available but don't really need that many. Would like to send some from the UK-abroad using my quota even if it was a case of using 2-1 but not possible. Is there a cheap way by using my phone?

You could try VGSMail, they charge 4p per text to most destinations worldwide. Reliability isn't as good as sending through your normal operator but still pretty good...

As for using it on your phone, they have a wap interface for the site, or if your phone can take it then theres an app to download too. Even better if you're abroad and can use gprs - I can send messages for 4p + 1p gprs charge instead of the usual ridiculous 40p
