Any phones have the same kind of screen as a BB?
Options
Hello, im currently trying to upgrade my mobile phone with 3 mobile and they wont budge on their BB prices so im looking at other options.
The main thing i love on my BB is that you can read the screen in any light - even direct sunshine, and that it automaticially changes the brightness of the screen to suit the lighting levels instantly.
These are the details of the screen on the model i have:
Display
Does anyone know if this is true and BB are the only ones, or does anyone out there have another phone where the screen is visable in all lights and automaticially adjusts itself?

just tested my phone (nokia n95) in direct sunlight and I can read it perfectly, and it also has a light sensor to automatically adjust the brightness.
but pretty much every smartphone ever created has had a light sensor to control the brightness.
as for the readability in bright light most phones you can, the iphone 3GS and below you can easily (not sure about the iphone 4) the nokia n95 you can (though I doubt you want such an old phone), I would be surprised if you cant read the screens of most new smartphones in direct sunlight.0 -
Thanks for that
A friend has the HTC Wildfire and thats pretty bad in sunlight and as far as i know doesnt do the automatic adjust thing, my boyfriend also has a samsung galaxy and the same applys to that, so maybe its the higher end phones that do it then? (know the nokia n95 is old now, but was i think a high end phone at the time)0 -
iPhone 4 also adjusts automatically (if you want it to - it's possible to turn this option off), and is readable in bright sunlight.
It's got a 960-by-640 backlit LCD display says the Apple website.0
