  • I just added 4 items to eBay. Brand new dresses and tops - all with tags still on!!!

Someone on the forum yesterday started a thread about our emotional responses to things and mine are food and clothes shopping. Time to turn it around...
    July 2015 - £7800 to pay off
  • Had a busy weekend but managed to spend very little!

My parents finally met the OH's parents today as we're getting married in two months, so we all met in Bath and took advantage of Bottelino's lunchtime special; meal for 6 incl. drinks for £67!

    • Drove around in OH's hatchback to save on fuel
    • Dinner from stores
    • Going to list on eBay to take advantage of free listing day
  • Thanks to Pippi for starting the thread.

    This weekend I will
    • Clean and tidy the flat mostly done
    • Do 3 loads of washing and dry inside - 1st lot is on already. done
    • Change bed - done
    • Check surveys - done a couple, another one to do
    • Check bank as expected
    • Go out tonight - try not to overspend done but oh me 'ed
    • Try and return 4 month old toaster to Argos but I can't find the receipt and it went pop when I put it on this morning.
    • NOT do any school work, I need a break, I'm not functioning, I had 3 free lessons yesterday and couldn't get my act together and get going and do anything useful. done
    • Read and watch TV to relax done
    • Maybe do a bit of cooking done

I did manage to do my shopping last night, took advantage of a lot of 3 for 2 type offers and used a £3 of a £30 spend voucher from Mr S at Mr T and got £52 worth of food for just over £40. :D Shouldn't need much shopping now till the end of the month.

I also managed to get a nice £65 evening dress from the Next clearance shop near me for £25 and an evening bag for £2 So I'll look the business tonight. :rotfl:

Snoop, congrats to daughter, what does she do?

    Have a good one all

Not taken the toaster back yet, will return the dress as well as I didn't wear it. Decided to wear a short dress instead as both are in the same retail park I'll do it tomorrow.

Had a nap this afternoon so feeling quite chirpy now.

    Hi everyone

    DFW life avec moi:
    • [STRIKE]Watch Spanish prog on rtve.es for free practice[/STRIKE] watching now, but puts me off other things because I have to concentrate (watch the screen) to pick everything up :p
    • [STRIKE]Go ebay listing mad :j[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]More housework[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Tackling the kitchen next... Wish me luck! :p[/STRIKE]
    • Handwash a few bits and pieces so I don't ruin them...
    • [STRIKE]Make lunches for work for the week[/STRIKE] using up some old potatoes - think some veg and pasata and maybe a tin of tuna too to make a potato salad type thing.
    • Paint my own nails - save about £20 there...
    • Count the penny jar :T
    Catch up later!

Crikey, doing those ebay listings has really taken it out of me!! Mind you, if they all sell at their starting price (which they won't...) then I'll make £121.50 so not to be sniffed at :D Hopefully a couple of things will sell and I'll make about £50 at least :)

    Hello :j
Nearly Monday again already :( Still,at least I didn't 'miss' this weekend like I did last, in transit from US!

    This weekend:

Shopping - used some saver stamps for Mr M that I found in the drawer ages ago, so £15 less cash spent than expected :D

Had to buy 2 new tyres for my car though - not very MS  Still, at least OH went and got them for me, as I get bored to tears hanging around at those places.

Wedding photographer came round on Sat morning to see DD2 about her wedding in July. What a palaver! DD and I couldn't believe some of the things people seem to get in a state about :rotfl:We are not really 'weddingy' people at all - certainly don't have time to worry about the minutae he was asking about  Apparently it is usually the bride's mother who is pernikitty (sp?) about all this stuff. DD said I would cause no problems at all, probably won't even be in the country :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Cleaned out chickens

Cleaned out house (I swear it was worse than the chicken house )

    Dogs for walk

Went to friends for lovely home cooked dinner Saturday evening :T

Went to DD1's for lunch today (Sun) and had hilarious time with little grand daughters :rotfl:Took them the books I had bought them from the US :D We hadn't seen them since Christmas, and they seem to have changed so much. The 3 year old is really grown up, and the baby now crawls and is into everything :rotfl:

    Well, I haven't cooked a thing all weekend :D

Trouble is my diet has gone to pot again as friend on Saturday and DD1 today fed me far too well  I MUST lose some weight in time for DD2's wedding :(
  • After my second lightbulb moment two weeks ago , I did a spending diary and cannot believe all the little things i spend on. Last week I spend £16 on luch at work so thsi weekend , I have undertakent the following
