With british gas you expect it to be done properly first time and have the back up and support if anything goes wrong. the price will also never go up even if a problem occurs during installation.

Check the T+C's of boiler warranties also - most will not touch your boiler for water part failure if you have not have the system powerflushed. If they find sludge in the boiler you loose your warranty. BG also guarantee your powerflush for life as long as you keep a homecare agreement running without breaks

You are correct you should expect it to be correct but in the Leeds area they use a lot of contractors and the times they are given to install a boiler is not enough (in my opinion) so things can be missed off.
I have been to loads where powerflushes have been quoted and rather not done or not done very well (think they get 2.4 Hours for flush) you are right if they complain BG will sort it.(if not flushed correct would the customer even know)
My advice would be to use a good local plumber at half the price and then if there are any problems ring GasSafe up and ask them to come and check it.(for free)
