Having used this company on a previous occasion with no problems I decided to use them again. What a mistake!!
They say they do next day delivery, but don’t. They promised to deliver my holiday money on Saturday and according to the Post office track and trace it won’t arrive until Monday.
The problems all started when Halifax faster payment service would not work on Thursday, so I had to draw the money out and take it to HSBC and use their faster payment service. The money was paid in on Thursday at approx 10:45 am. According to TravelFX, the money did not clear until 12:10 which was after the 12pm cut off time for next day delivery.
I advised them that I was going on holiday on the Monday so I needed the money to arrive no later than Saturday. This did not appear to be a problem.
I phoned them Friday morning to double check that the money would be dispatched that day for Saturday delivery. Again they confirmed they would.
I emailed them as I had not got any of the confirmation emails they had promised. Soon after I got two emails back with the conformation I requested, including the royal mail track and trace number.
When I checked the number low and behold, it is set for delivery on Monday !! Now as far as they are concerned, I will be at the airport on Monday morning at 7am...
Fortunately for me, I am not actually going until the Tuesday morning. The thing is, I have altered plans as I was supposed to going out on Saturday (at my expense). Now with having to wait in Monday morning my plans again have to change. (At more expense)
I am far from happy with this...
Does anyone have any ideas on what action I can take?

Travel FX Ltd does not guarantee next day delivery or guarantee that your required delivery date will be met in any way however we shall use our best endeavours to deliver on your required date. We will not be held liable for any issues, expenses or costs arising from not delivering on the date you have stated.
It is important that you are present to sign and accept delivery for your order. We cannot accept any responsibility for fraudulent acts committed by a third party or non delivery to a named person. We will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from late or non-delivery. Delivery dates should not be placed for the 2 working days prior to your departure for your travels.
Where the delivery date falls on a Monday, your package may be dispatched on the Friday prior as Royal Mail do not collect from the Company on a Saturday/Sunday, therefore you may receive your package on the Saturday prior to your delivery date. This is dependant upon the local Royal Mail Delivery office's services where the package is being delivered to. In instances where the package does not arrive on the Saturday, your package may be delivered on the Monday. Royal Mail cannot guarantee delivery on a Saturday.
You may request Saturday delivery of your order for a charge of £5.00 however we cannot guarantee that Royal Mail will fulfil this request. This fee is non-refundable in the event of non-delivery on a Saturday.
Wondering if you paid the extra for the saturday - if not as you will get it Monday its not really a massive issue is it. Sounds like the real problem stems from the Halifax not making your payment in time. Anyway enjoy your hols
