Last year I signed up to a Virgin 18 month contract, free Sony Ericsson K750i, 200 mins+ 400 texts, £40 pm. at the time I was using almost all these credits so it seemed like a good idea, now i'm not using anywhere near this so rang them and asked if I could downgrade as I was having trouble with payments. They said I could only upgrade. I have just emailed them and asked if there is anything they could do, saying that even if they could put me on a £30 tarriff that would be good.
Anybody else had any luck with them ??

Just about to end 18 month contract, so phoned up to give notice of termination, they asked if I had seen a better tarriff/offer, so I said not really, but that I was interested in the SIM only with free broadband (which seemed to have just finished) but they said it was still on offer and that they would call me back.
Whilst I was still on the mobile to them I had a text message informing me of the contract termination date and they haven't phoned me back!
They don't seem to be too interested in keeping existing customers!

No, they don't seem to care. I thought they were quite good to start with, but now they got my money thats it.0

Have you looked here to see when you can downgrade tariff's, it is usally after 6 or 9months http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/genericContent.do?contentId=our.service.footer.sm068#Terms%20and%20conditions%20for%20the%20Virgin%20Mobile%20Pay%20Monthly%20service0

When I rang they said they couldn't do anything, I'm in my 13th month. just seems very, 'Ha Ha Ve Haff Your Signature, Now Ve Vill Suck You Dry Ha HA'
Looked at the link, just before my eyes went fuzzy (sure they write it like that on purpose) I saw that it says you can change once a month but only to make it more expensive, not less. Will try looking again in a bit after my eyes have cleared up0 -
They will not allow you to downgrade to lower tariff as you have sadly found out. I had the same problem.0
