DVD/CD Drive not working

.NET framework is a library that many programs will use - it is warning you that if another programme is using it then that other programme will fail. Personally for the grief you're having, get a new drive for £20 and just sort it out.

Then I recommend checking the CD on another drive on another computer to see if it is still good. Make sure the other drive has clean lenses.

If it's good then maybe you just need to clean your drive's lenses or maybe check if it's connected properly.

If the cd's not good then... ummm... Download the content of the internet?:)
