Best HTC Desire Z deal?

I've decided this is the phone I want. Its important that it comes with around 500MB data and I don't want to faff around with redemptions. Also I can't go with Vodafone because the reception is terrible where I go to university.
Does anyone know of a better deal or should I take the plunge? I've always been reluctant to tie myself into a contract but I really fancy a smartphone
Also, £6.99 seems a bit steep for insurance. Could I insure in on my parent's house insurance if I don't live with them anymore? Or is it possible to take out cheaper third party insurance?

Worth a thought? more mins, more date, more texts and a 12 month contract?
Just come on here to see if there is anything better. Will report back if I find anything.

The Wildfire doesn't hold even the smallest candle to the Desire Z, they simply don't compare.0

You can get the Desire Z from buymobilephones.net on T-mobile 300 with internet for £15 a month and £140 up front. That works out at £100 cheaper than the Orange deal over the 2 years of the contract although it's only 300 texts compared with 3000 on Orange.0

Cheers. That's well worthy of consideration. Looks like I should decide quick though. The offer runs out in 3 days.0 -

Just noticed - this deal doesn't include internet. That's an extra fiver a month.0 -
The carphone warhouse seem to have some good offers
You can get the Desire Z on orange for £30.64 with 300 mins, 750mb data and unlim texts
I narrowed my choice down to the Desire HD and Z but went with the HD.0 -

The one I'm looking at says it does.
