if all these problems started when you upgraded avg, switch to avast, and reinstall firefox.!!

I also had problems with AVG and FF.
I tried a lot of things but eventually switched to Avast (also free) and it's perfectly fine nowNo trees were harmed in the posting of this message;
However, a significant number of electrons were slightly inconvenienced.0 -
Maryke - thanks for responding. If I get nowhere with AVG I'll try Avast.
Spike - I've just downloaded Opera and now I'm finding my way around it! Thank you for your help.
