    EAsiest thing is to use low tack masking tape to cover and protect his new work and use a window scraper (generally they have a double sided razor blade), just be carefull not to use at too mucjh of an angle or you could easily gouge the frame, another thing I sometimes use is Tesco value pan pads, (ten pack small rectangular pads) it has a sponge on one side and a cheap, abrasive fibre based compound on back, being the value brand its not very abrasive and will take the paint off without scratching the plastic
