Pre-paid CC for hotel deposits

I may have been smoking plastic pens when I thought I read this before, but..
Is there a prepaid credit card out there that'll allow pre-emptive charges, i.e ones likely to be incurred when checking into a hotel for a security deposit?
I'm a student so a real credit card isn't an option, and nor really is walking around with cash for hotel deposits.

Get the FairFX card, it has raised print so appears as a normal card as such, and ideally you need money on there in the first place so if a hotel wants to put a 'hold' on the card, they can do so...
failing that, just offer a cash deposit (normally £50 ish...) sometimes works!0
