Opinions on Virgin deal, please?

My Virgin mobile contract is due for renewal on 20th March
I currently have, a free Samsung Jet, 18months, 600mins, unlimited texts, 1GB web, free V2V all for £30/month

I’m also a Virgin Media customer, so I’ve been looking at the following deal they have on offer for their Media customers, which is probably better than what I had above
Virgin Media £25.53 Web, 24 months, free Samsung Galaxy S, 600mins, unlimited texts, 1Gb mobile web, free V2V calls
Or
Virgin Media £30.64, 18 months, free Samsung Galaxy S, 600mins, unlimited texts, 1Gb mobile web, free V2V calls
Any opinions on which would be the better option of the two deals to go for, the 24 or 18 months?

Also been looking at what T-Mobile could offer in comparison for the Galaxy S
£35.75 24months, free phone, 1200mins, Unltd texts, internet included (500mb fair use)
£40.85 18months, free phone, 1200mins, Unltd texts, internet included (500mb fair use)

The Virgin deals seem to be the preferred choices, as I doubt whether I’d need the 1200mins T-Mobile are offering, but the question would be, as I also currently hold a contract with T-Mobile for my daughter’s phone, would there be any chance T-Mobile would match the Virgin deal if I suggesting moving my contract over to them?

Actually ended up taking delivery of a new phone today from Virgin

HTC Desire, free handset, 24months at £20.43, 200mins, Unltd texts, 1GB web, free V2V calls


Well happy with that for a £400 phone
