wheat bags

Hi Guys, first post in Old Style so please be gentle!
One of my dear friends was given one of those wheat bags that you microwave and use like a hot water bottle for Christmas. The problem is that it is very strongly scented with Lavender - which she hates. (Not gifted by me for the record....)
Is it possible to just take a fabric bag and stuff it with a similar amount of wheat, zap it and stick it in the cover or is the wheat likely to need some kind of treatment to stop it swelling up/cooking/popping in the microwave?
Thanks in advance.Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0 -

Welcome :T Yes you can do that; AFAIK, the wheat doesn;t need treating in any way.
