As others have said there is home work out there but it is notoriously hard to find and for every geniune one there are at least 1000 scams, if you can operate a sewing machine you may be able to get some work there, as for anything else all I can suggest is you write to companies asking and telling them your skills i.e. send cv and covering letter saying you are looking for home work - that is a a mail shot.
Many folks here are looking, including myself but in 10 yrs of looking I have found nothing, but have done avon, kleeneze, market research, betterware and leaflet distribution oh and delivered local papers.

I know you want to work at home but a lot of civil service & local govt jobs allow you to work partly from home and partly in an office. Have you thought of that?
Also a job was advertised near here (no good to you we are in the North) as a parish clerk (working from home) might be worth contacting your local council, or how about putting an advert in you local paper offering data entry, transcribibg service?0 -

I want to start doing a work at home course from my local uni.. this way i can combine the two.
Also i would like to spend some more time with my family.
