I don't think i'm entitled to benefits, i'm unemployed and am wanting a full time home based job to cover my outgoings.

For a really soul-destroying work at home job, how about transcribing interviews?

I work for a university doing social research. We interview various people about all sorts of things, and tape-record everything they say. We then need people to listen to the tapes and type out everything that is said on to a computer. Just one of our projects spends ten thousand a year on transcribing. I think we pay about six pounds per hour, and simply cannot find enough people for the work available.

If you could do that kind of thing, I suggest you contact the social science department at your nearest university. As it happens I am in Exeter, but I think we only employ transcribers who live locally.

can you tell us what qualifications/ experience you have?
