Ring Fenced post help required

Wonder if someone can give me some advice as i am being given conflicting information. I am currently in the middle of the 90 day consultancy and at the end of this there is one job which has been ring fenced for two people including me. The post is at the same scale as my old post which has vanished and is a new job title…

thanks lazy daisy it is very confusing - and I am probably one of the lucky ones to get a job. I may come back with another question but hopefully it will go smoothly - fingers and toes crossed. Will let you know how it goes.
