Just wondering, does Tyvek breathable felt mean that there is no need for ventilation at the eaves as well ?

It's just Mum had a new roof a while back and insulation was put in . She didn't used to have any insulation in the roof, not even the roof space. But when the new roof was put on insulation was put in everywhere including above the sloping ceiling that goes down to bedroom windows.( hope you understand what I mean)

    Thanks

Take a quick look in the loft first thing on the next frosty morning to find out. If it's the breathable type you should be ok but best to check nevertheless.

    Thanks for the replies.

Let's hope the breathable felt does the job then.:)

It's not a loft conversion, its just an old house where the upstairs rooms have ceilings that slope down to the windows. So say most of the room is full height then about four feet of sloping ceiling down to windows therefore no loft space above the slope. Funnily enough its the sloping bit I've now become more concerned about. But hey whats done is done. Breathable felt should be ok.

Just grateful that after all these years there's loft insulation.

Next frosty day I will pop up there and check. ;)
