Warning about CCCS has confused us!?

oops Sorry. As a newbie to these boards I hadn't noticed the dates, the thread came high up the list so I assumed it was current. Thank you for putting me straight . With the Halifax things resolved themselves as I put the house on the market and sold it shortly afterwards. I know I should have complained as they have become worse since the merger with TSB.
I fully understand the theory behind free help and why creditors would prefer it, I am still however a cynic and am afraid nothing will change that . I am cynical about so many things
Finally it seems that i am not the only one to type first and think later and nothing will get me more riled than being accused of something that hadn't even entered my head0 -
To be fair to you - if the thread was on the first page then its possible that a spammer had posted on it and bumped it up, but that the spammers post's have been deleted leaving it looking like you dragged it up.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Hi there
Please don't believe the fee-charging companies - why would they tell you the truth? They want you as a customer because you will make them money!
We've been with CCCS for about 16 months now. I can't fault them at all. At no time have I felt like they're not operating in my full interest. We had 19 creditors, 17 stopped at %, two others charge a nominal %. MBNA is my biggest creditor overall, they weren't great at getting the paperwork sorted initially, but I've remained on 0% since the plan started.
I did a short blog about going on the DMP with CCCS, if you want to see it, just google the info in my signature.

I would definately recommend CCCS, we were completely stuck and did not know which way to sort out our debts last November.
We have got 17 creditors between the two of us and had our budgets decided by the CCCS as we had been living off virtually nothing as we were trying to clear our debts without even hitting the minimum.
We have now paid 3 months off our plan and everyone of our creditors has stopped our interest and charges for the next 12 months when our budgets will be renewed.
Due to my health I am now not working with my last pay due to come in on the 1st, again CCCS were really helpful and have adjusted our budget again. I should be working again in a couple of months and clearing more debt again.
I really do not mind who funds CCCS as we have been treated very fairly, all interest and charges have been stopped, the phone has stopped ringing and all letters are now just statements with no interest added in. Every penny that we pay reduces our debt.
I really do not see how things could of gone any better for us, I am actually now enjoying saving money and do not remember the last time that I managed to pay in cash for everything.
The only headache that we had was changing the bank accounts, as there were so many direct debits etc to sort out but that is all sorted now and its great to see it with a positive balance the whole time.
Good luck.If you want the rainbow you have to go through the rain.
