It's a common confusion when referring to cheque clearance. Even when you ask some members of staff they will incorrectly refer to the day a cheque becomes available as the day a cheque clears. The major difference being is that you withdraw the money upon availability at your own risk as the funds can be withdrawn right up until the 6th working day.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0
