I am pretty disappointed in the hilife... sent off my £10 vouchers and never got my card. Contacted them three weeks later and seems like card got 'lost' They sent another card with a book for Irish restaurants... we live in Scotland!

First time we used the card it was refused, as the restaurant no longer participated with hi-life!!!

Second time we used it in another favourite place it got stamped and we cant visit this restaurant again with the card!

The reason we spent the vouchers on this card was that we could use this in our two favourite restaurants - so pretty much worthless now!

Pity they dont advertise this on their website that in most restaurants you can only use the card once... whats the point in that!

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Your experience seems like a one off to be honest, have been using it for years and no issues, just saved loads.. Keep the faith, its a great deal....... :)

Just ordered mine, thanks OP, good find. Would never have known about this otherwise, can't wait to try it out now!!
  • The Pizza Express vouchers through hi-life are great; we're going to get a load of them. A tenner in Reward vouchers gets you £40 worth of PE vouchers. Think we're going to get £160 or £200's worth of vouchers. lol.
  • Used in Malmaison Belfast this week, really recommend it, especially the sirloin........yum :)
  • used in teatro on botanic last week. no prob using and didn't mark...glad we used it tho as pretty pricey!
  • Quick update on this one, card can now be used at Everest on the Saintfield Road. Lovely Indian/Nepalese Restaurant.... and BYOB!! £2 corkage for wine..There last Friday and it was empty but we really enjoyed a great meal....Highly recommend..

Mr Funkydaddio, get with it! :p

Everest has been with Hi Life for over a year! I've been a few times, and I agree that the food is top notch - especially the scotch whisky infused Nasheder!

    Tasty noms!

Can no longer be used at Eds Diner in Lisburn, although its in the book. Tried to use on Saturday but the guy in Eds Diner was quite rude when I asked about using it!!

Just wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere in Belfast for lunch which accepts the taste card. We're travelling up to Belfast by train this bank hol Mon to visit the Titanic museum and would like lunch somewhere either near great Vic st station or near the Titanic. Not familiar with Belfast so if you don't mind saying where a restaurant is that'd be great!

    Thanks in advance
