how easy is it to change a single elec socket, to make it a double?

is there anything i need to be aware of ?

    Very simple with one of these types of adapter. Your local DIY shed will also do them.

    Yeah sorry, it was clumsily phrased!

    It's actually a very simple procedure but it depends whether it's the last socket on the circuit as to what you have to do (that's what I meant to say)

    More confused ???. End of circuit v end of ring. If it is a 13 amp socket there is a pretty good chance it will be a ring. In which case there is no end.

    II was going to say "If you take the front of the the socket off and there's 2 cables coming in then it's probably a good bet that's part of the ring and not a spur", but then i figured someone might have spurred a spur (naughty that) a mate has just suggested disconnecting each cable in turn, if there's power to both it's a ring.
    Obviously if there's only 1 cable it's a spur.

    That's exactly what I was trying to say (but failed miserably twice!).
