Evening ladies,
I have quite dark skin and coarse dark hair which is getting worse on my top lip.
I stupidly shaved it with a razor  (i know, i'm an idiot!!) and its now looking awful and needs doing constantly.
Does anyone have any clue on what to do and recommend any products that you use?
TIA
Xx

Don't shave it anymore! Get some facial wax strips, it'll grow back finer.£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit

thanks to this site am a recent convert to epicare, would def recommend giving one a go0

I'd have it waxed or threaded initially and then see if you bear waxing it yourself once you've seen a professional do it.
I sometimes use hair remover cream if I can't face waxing and that does the trick too but doesn't last for quite as long. And never be tempted to shave it again!0 -
I use an epilator on my top lip. Sounds awful I know, but I have found it faster than waxing and as time has gone on the hairs are getting less and less.0

i use cream about once every 6 weeks0

Thank you ladies, knew i could count on you.
Can i ask what 'epicare' is please? Never heard of it before...how does it and work and where do you get it?
Also, i did try waxing but wasn't very successful, it didn't remove any hair, don't know if i did it wrong or got the wrong type :confused
I've heard that using a razor will make the hair grow back faster and quicker, is this true?!? Have i screwed up forever?
TIA

That's a myth. The hair just looks worse because it is cut rather than tapering to a fine point like it would naturally.0 -
I taught myself how to thread by using Youtube videos for my eyebrows and the past 2 months I've done my upper lip too!! Give it a go, so easy and cheap! I mean maybe go to a threader first to see if you like the initial results, saves me £10 each time

Go to a beauty salon for waxing, should be about 5-10 pounds, will probably feel like a plaster being removed quickly.Snootchie Bootchies!0

Get immac cold wax strips - easy peasy and one pack last ages.
You just separate the strips that are stuck together, smooth one onto the area pressing firmly and then take a deep breath and riiip it off! It's sore for a minute but it's not that bad really. I've been using it for years and the hair does eventually get finer and lighter in colour (maybe that's just my age) I've got really pale skin but very dark hair, great combo!
I've also tried just about everything else :- salon waxing- good but I don't like coming out and walking down the street with a big red lip!; Electrolysis - too sore and may leave little pinpriick marks; Cream bleach - BIIIG allergic reaction; "laser" did nothing and really expensive (got a free trial luckily); shaving - don't go there - really obvious what you've been doing!; moom - a sort of home sugaring kit got it off QVC - good but sticky!Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0
