I tried cutting dairy out of my diet completely for a couple of weeks though, and that didn't resolve his issues so don't think its always just that. I don't know however what it was that is in both breast milk and formula that he couldn't tolerate. Lactose maybe? The special formula was made from amino acids and fish oils.
We went through the whole protocol of gaviscon , then domperidone, then ranitidine with no noticeable improvement at any stage. It was only the complete regime I described earlier which had any impact. So if the first treatment offered has no effect, it is worth persevering with alternatives until the bitter end.0
