Which unlocked dongle?

Hi, wanting to buy an unlocked dongle and hard to choose.
Does anyone have a recommendation for any particular make that is mid priced (£20+). Basically looking for a reliable one which doesn't have to be the latest newfangled model.
Current choices seem to be the Huawei E170, E220, E160. Any particular recommendation from these or any others? I realise the first has 7.2mbps download speeds compared to 3.6 for the other two but I read a couple of people saying it doesn't really make much difference. Basically, I am interested to hear of a tried and tested solid dependable dongle whom people here would use over newer models and which won't give any problems but just plug & play well.
