Ideal Logic+ heat only gas boiler

My aging Ideal Classic is in terminal decline, the above looks like an easy swop, but does anyone have a modern Ideal boiler, and would they recommend them?

Can't realy help you at the moment but I'm just having an Ideal logic installed as i type. Spoke to the guy and he said he has had no problems whatsoever so at the moment it's just his word.
I belive people use to have issues with Ideal but since the launch of the Logic and Logic+ they seem to have ironed out their problems. Ideal must be confident as the Logic comes with a 2 year warranty and the Logic+ comes with a 5 year warranty.

After all the crap Ideal produced with the isar and icos it be a while before i trust them again.
I hope they sorted there act out but i don't want the gamble of fitting them yet. I will wait until i hear reports of the failures before making my mind up.
There are other boilers out there with 5 year warranties, One of the problems with ideal before was getting them to fix the boiler even under warranty.

Well i got it up and running and although time will tell what i can say after a days working is it's very quite and very stylish sleek modern looking although it's in the garage it would not look out of place in the kitchen.

Gas man called yesterday and got the Ideal Classic running again, the fan had siezed. Fitting a replacement fan next week so hopefully I can put the change off for a bit longer.

I've been looking at these too. Any idea what the difference is between logic and logic+ ??

Been looking at the Ideal website and there seems to be no difference in spec at all, just in the guarantee period... is that the only difference?

Yes that's the only difference they are exactly the same except with the plus it's a 5 year warranty instead of two years with the Logic. So i thought no difference I'll go with the Logic.
