I also used the 50p kingsmil voucher on a reduced loaf so I got it free :)
I honestly can't remember when I paid full price for a loaf of bread. Mad's Dad (baker by trade) sadly deceased always said to me "they'll always want bread son" :A
When the price of a loaf hit 10p (2/-) in 1971 he said it won't be long before it hits 50p:p

Hey everyone! Been missing you all! Just a quicky flying visit as feel really poorly so having early night. Love my postie today - two cheques from velvet both for £100 wins, comp win from Wonga (pancake shaker bottle and jiffy lemon - yummy pancakes again saturday), footie tix from barclays comp and a card left by postie to say i have a recorded delivery to collect - gonna get up early in morning and go fetch it as intrigued. Lovely post from Bully - my best win was a holiday to the world cup in South Africa last year which i won about a month after starting comping on here - but since finding this thread i've been neglecting the comps and coming on here instead.
Oh and my Co-op near my work took my Velvet MOCs today so got a couple more packs. And the local QD store took them too.
Will try and catch up more over the weekend - happy tree shaking x

  • Great post Bullshot and may your good wins continue. I love reading the I won I won thread most on the comping section it is very inspiring to read up on what great wins people get and gives the incentive to carry on comping if not winning a lot.
My most expensive win was a bathroom suite worth nearly £4,000. I have also been lucky enough to win an Ipad and a Wii as well as lots of smaller items. Two weeks ago me, oh, ds and ds's friend went for an overnight stay to London from a comping win for a private movie screening at Warner head offices private cinema. Rail tickets and £200 spending money was also included. I used 2 madame tussauds tickets from a previous comp win along with 2 for 1 printables to take them to tussauds. I also took them on the London eye using 2 for 1 printables. We all had a fab time especially ds's friend who at age 15 has never been out of Wales before.
  • I hadn't heard of this site, I've had a look it seems pretty good, I'll have to register, have you had much success on it?

I dont keep records, but I'd guess that the majority of my wins have come through links on Loquax.
