can i pick someones brains a moment, not literally though ,lol
i have won the clairol foam party thingy and have 2x vouchers for free boxes.saying to the value of £6.99.
now these are £5 in asda according to mysupermarket and i was wondering if theres anyway to know whether these will scan at 6.99 or whether they'll have to add the price manual, like they do on most free item vouchers
    thanks
If you quote the barcode we will be able to tell you;)

If the barcode starts with 99xxx then it is a standard scannable discount coupon, acceptable at most stores, and the value of the coupon is the three final digits AFTER removing the very final digit.

e.g. The whiskas cat food 50% off barcode is 9900950021937 so the discount given at the till is 193p (or £1.93)

If it has 3 zeros, e.g. the free candle from Airwick 9900218280007 then it will require a price input from the checkout operator.

If it is NOT a 99XX barcode it is generally a store-specific coupon.

Obviously, this is only a quick guide, and the SA (Sales Assistant) MAY over-ride the value by reading the Terms and Conditions of the offer, and giving the correct percentage.

so yours will SCAN at £6.99

Well done dawnie...I won one of those racedays last year with this same company ...have you spoken to them yet???Make sure you check the details with them carefully as they want you to pay you up front in case they book the driver to be with you and you do not turn up it will be refundable and you have to pay for your own lunch.....I declined and asked them to offer it to someone else.....just seen the replies on IWIWIW and it seems as though you won't have to pay the deposit , just the runners up that pay that...I must have been a runner up.....
  • many thanks for that, and the tips. i will look out for my fav SA then and do a little shop at the same time
