Does any one else suffer from Volvo time?

I'd just like to add another time related acronym....
NTP / SNTP“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

LOL Good point! I'll have to check that out! The only worrying thing is that if that is the case I'll have to find a new radio station to listen to

Have a look at www.volvoforums.org.uk
I have a Volvo, much older than yours. The clock gains about 1 minute a year which I can tolerate. It has no second hand though.
My watch gains 24 seconds a year.

I reset the time once a month with the bbc news-24 on screen clock.
Which interestingly is actually going to be inaccurate by between 500ms and 1 second, due to the delay of data packets via satellite, plus any processing time at your end, in fact every jump from coms satellite to ground and back will add another 500ms or so.
A "Live" news story, at the very least has to go from live transmission to coms sat, to studio, to coms sat, to ground based receiver/transmitter (terrestrial digital and cable) or to your sky box.
I'm sure we've all noticed at some point, that there's a tiny time delay between terrestrial and satellite TV
The website I mentioned is accurate to whatever your internet ping speed is (typically less than 100ms), NTP servers which are ping compensate should be accurate to within a few milliseconds

Most Volvo drivers I come across drive turbocharged petrol estates and seem to be in an awful rush :rotfl:0
