Good Morning All,
bargainbird - I feel your pain. Just lately every day feels like the film 'Ground hog day'. The days at work drag and then the evenings fly byI seem to spend my evenings cooking and cleaning until I fall into bed around 10pm absolutely knackered. The one bit of pleasure I get is reading for a little while when I get to bed, but lately I don't even have the energy to keep awake to do that. I wish I had the time to do regular 'deep cleans', to me the house always feels grubby even though I'm constantly tidying .
Sorry guys - moan over!
Julie Georgiana - thinking of you today hun x
Have a great day everyone (((hugs))) to those who need one.0 -
julieg & jackieg, hope all goes well for you both today
bargainbird, you need a breakhope you can get one soon
loulou, *hugs* let's hope you can get some rest today
imataloss, some people do so well learning through their own mistakes and moving on, but lots don't so well done to your DS!
Morning all! I was hoping it'd be a lovely sunny day again, but no such luck as it's grey and horrible outside. I've got a few little bits to do this morning, then i'm working at a sixthform event at uni in the afternoon. I'd still work at open days and talks if I didn't get paid because I'm so over enthusiastic about maths and love talking! Lunch and dinner will both be hm frozen/leftovers and I'm going to do a batch of porridge pancakes tonight.
I bumped into the guy I've been seeing yesterday, we've scheduled another date for this weekend now I'm not illLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
hello all.
I am so lazy, I need to get on with my day before I switch the pc on.
Anyway DW emptied & WM on.
I need to clean the bathroom today & catch up with my flylady list.
I also need to make some snacks for the children. Am just going to make cornflake cakes today.
Need to get some stork tomorrow & make some cakes. Butter is so expensive so have downgraded to stork.
Had to buy a new keyboard yesterday as the baby dropped my other one & broke it. Little monkey.
Need to defrost some HM burgers for the kids for dinner. DH is supposed to be out. But if he isn't then there's fish, oven chips & peas in the freezer. My anti b's are still having a nasty effect on my tum so I've no idea what I'll eat.
Good luck JulieG & JackieG.
love (((hugs))) & spoons all around

Quite envious that my sister has managed to get an allotment, so have offered to help her with that - but ladies only get a half sized one!!!!!
Surely that's discrimination . Is it a local authority allotment or a private one? Look on the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Growers website. If the allotment is a member, which a lot are they should be able to sort it out.
We offer half allotments for people who want to try them out but not just for women! This sort of thing makes my blood boil.0 -
Hello all
Oops cat on the keyboard again!
Not working today and cat is sticking to me like glue....
Having a can't be a**ed day but have put some washing out and I am making soup-lettuce, pea, courgette and spring onion. Yum.
Had busy days Monday(flying) and Tuesday (teaching) and I am going out for a meal tonight with members of a management committee I used to serve with. DS has last night's spag bol to eat and OH will be freezer diving or going to the chippy.
Need to do some guitar practice...............next lesson Saturday afternoon. I have had to cut the nails on my left hand really short. Ouchie!
Find I am talking to myself as OH goes to work at silly o'clock and DS grunts in the morning. No -one else here and too much time to think.....!
Jackie G didn't know what you were poorly with-get better soon hun.
Hugs and kind thoughts to all who need them.
Have a good day

Mrs MH, have you tried taking live yoghurt with your antib's? Dr told me that antib's strip all the bacteria from your stomach including the good ones, so taking live yoghurt helps stabilise the gut. Tried it & it worked for me
HTH & you feel better soon x

afternoon all
taplady please get your silly DH to doctors!. Why are men so stupid when it comes to their own health? Do you mean he has phlebitis or cellulitis? If it is phlebitis there is a thrombosis risk, if cellulitis there is a risk of systemic infection......both not a good idea for anyone, but particularly a man with a cardiac history:o
Nursing lecture over;)
Busy today.....cooked a chicken and stripped it down, made batch of pastry....just about to make several chicken pies for the freezer for DS ( his fave). made a chocolate cake, did washing, Sainsbugs delivery came and for some reason duplicated itself as 2 vans arrived at the same time both with my shopping:eek:. Some glitch in the software apparently as I know I only ordered one lot:D.
Need to put chocolate on the cake, make some twinks and tidy up.
BB That is how I ended up having my mini meltdown on Sat:rotfl:I just felt overwhelmed by the amount of work there always is to do and I never get to have a me day:(. Have a good rant then realise you will never get on top of it all and plod on trying to keep up with it. I have been wanting to declutter and do a deep clean since Xmas but am struggling to even keep up with everyday stuff:o
jackieG and JulieG good luck today:D
Nic glad you decided to stay off longer...I was off for about 2 months when it happened to me:o0 -

he's had phlebitis before so he's thinking it might be that again. I'll show him your post when he gets back up after his nap see if he can see sense.
Thanks for your concern x
bedroom cleaned and decluttered:j have also cleaned the kitchen windows which were pretty dirty!
Just decluttering the lounge now and later need to clean my car if I've got enough energy left!
Halight - I've sorted out my Singer oil can, only one on Ebay like it so far and thats in New Zealand. Its a shame to let it go really as the machine's in great nick, in a case and with the original book(although this is not in great condition) and a box with tools and attachments in. There's still a lot of oil in the tin!
Freezer suprise for tea.
xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Firstly:
JackieG - Hope all goes or has gone OK for you today xx
JulieG - Thinking of you this afternoon, hope it's not too painful xx
Bargainbird - I feel your misery. Are the girls old enough to take on a little responsibility for say helping to tidy up? I find keeping on top of all the kids toys and not putting stuff away means cleaning takes twice as long as it should. As for skirting boards give Spike a duster and let him ripHope you're feeling a bit better xx
Loulou - I vote for Pepto Bismol, bit like drinking pink liquid Vicks vapour rub but it does help x
Sorry if I've missed anything else, lots of poorly people it seems so hope you all feel better soon.
Been to Forest School this morning. DS had a meltdown on the way back as apparantly I am not allowed to run across the fields  So that set him up nicely for the walk back to schoolHe'll come out of it though by the time I pick him up hopefully.
Have come back, put vac round. Need to go and dust upstairs before the school run starts again.
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good afternoon OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0
