Good luck to JulieG and JackieG xx
Loulou - it will get better x
Well its a dull day today. Hopefully it might brighten up later? I do hope so as yesterday the sun brought all the crocus and early daffodils out in my rather untidy garden. Think that is a job for the Kids Dad at the weekend! I also got two loads of washing dry on the line outside and it smelt wonderful last night airing on the maiden. Talk about OS aromatherapy!!
I had a very poor nights sleep due to one thing and another. I will be going back to bed shortly but have two possibly three parcels being delivered.
The girls (my two female westie dogs) are going out for the day and I will really miss themMy dad is coming to collect them and will take them for a hair cut and strip as they are very shaggy at the moment. Then they will go back to his house and totally take over the boys (my parent's two male westie dogs) beds and generally usurp their position. The boys just stand there and let them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Its definitely a case of "Here come the girls".
Washing is on as I speak and house is generally tidy but needs a clean tomorrow. Hope you have a good day xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Morning All,
JackieG & JulieG hope the bit fiddling goes well today:eek:, is not too uncomfortable & the news is good.
RR glad to see you're improving, don't over do it.
BB hope you feel better soon, also Gillian, I am in the same place as you with new meds so you have my sympathy as does everyone around me
DW is still not working so have washed up by hand this morning, must by some rubber gloves. I have no washing:eek: which is just as well as it is grey & damp here although very mild. Forgot to put the chicken in slowcooker last night so have done that this morning, we will now be having chicken stew tomorrow & will have garlic, bacon & mushroom pasta tonight. Have polished downstairs & s/s bathroom, but am fading now so have sat down with a coffee & me & young dog are cuddled up on sofa & will do some knitting whilst watching catch up tv.
Hugs, spoons & hi5's all round,
Hope you all have a good day,

morning all!
day off at last !:j
got lots to do - bargainbird (((hugs))) I know just how you feel, am tackling the bedroom today - I went under the bed looking for something last night and came out covered in dust:o
I feel some serious cleaning and decluttering coming on - 1 room at a time.
Redruby - glad you are feeling better x
Flutterby and Halight - hope you are both feeling better x
Good luck to JackieG and JulieG with their tests today, hope you both get a good outcome x x
just had a poached egg on toast and am now summoning up the energy to actually start the bedroom.
DH has gone to work again:mad: - was keeping on at him all evening about going to the docs but he'll go in his own good time and cant be persuaded to go until he's ready. Today is a busy day for him so maybe this will prove to be a turning point.
Have a great day all x x xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Good Morning All
JackieG and JulieG - hope all goes well today and you are not in too much discomfort.
Bargainbird - Try not to fret about cleaning the skirtings. Who looks at them anyway?
I learnt a long time ago that my health/sanity were worth more to me than a dusty house.
Woke up this morning with a headache - I`m putting it down to blocked sinuses because it`s all around my eyes.
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday at DS`s graduation. Was so proud when I saw him in his cap and gown. This is the person who made a complete mess of his GCSE`s (he wanted to go out with his mates - who he doesn`t see now). Got through 6th form by the skin of his teeth. Then got a job, moved on into a different job and decided to study part time. He has now got HNC and wants to go on and get a degree.
He now knows what can be acheived. I now understand that sometimes you have to let teenagers go ahead and make their own mistakes. You can only give them so much advice and eventually they will find their own way in the world.
Plan to do more decluttering of work stuff later and have lots of that to get through.
Have a good day everyone0 -
i am attempting on make some handwash for round the house as i have ran out.Trying to make big cut backs!!!

Couldn't have put it better myself.
RR glad you are feeling a little better.
B-B I agree with Imataloss I take it more help from DH is not an option?
Loulou isn't there a Mum or MIL nearby who can come over and let you have a rest? or even take DS out in his pushchair for an hour just to let you relax? Maybe MIL is dying to be asked??
Back later - Take care all

Morning everyone.
(((hugs)))to those in here who are having such a hard time, through illness, sadness and anxiety.I'm so sorry to see many of you feeling under the weather. Spring is coming - we need some sunshine and maybe a few more hard frosts to kill off some of the bugs going round. For those with the sickness bug, have you tried pepto-bi$mal? It's bright pink and tastes like the smell of an old fashioned GP surgery :rotfl:but my goodness it is good at settling tums (and hangovers).
Had a lovely evening last night - went with DD to the launch of StAnza which is St Andrews Poetry Festival. It was held in Edinburgh - great to hear poets and also listen to some music performed by young folk. Quite a heavy Gaelic influence this year. Went for drinks afterwards with DH and DD.
Hoping to go to see Brighton Rock today. Think it's had mixed reviews but am looking forward to it.
DH is on holiday this week, hence more evnings/ trips out. We're also doing jobs at home to catch up on things needed.
Big ironing pile to tackle so that will be done after dogs are walked.
Haven't had my porridge yet but off to make it now.
Not too much OS going on here this week as feeling in the hol mood! Do fancy a batch cooking session but as I'm still trying to empty the freezer, that's not a good idea.
Thinking of you today Jackie and JulieG. Hope all goes well.
