Piston rings do not melt. (well they do, but at much higher temperatures than those that would melt a piston)

Two threads, same question, repetitive answers, none of which make sense, I sense a troll to be honest.
But in case I am being harsh, yes you can fix a piston ring, the cylinder head is nothing to do with the piston rings, and if you can't afford a used engine then you can't afford to repair it properly either.
And I think telling somebody how to change a melted piston ring in a single post on a forum is rather unrealistic.0 -
I see I posted twice cos forgot putting piston problem on heading. New on this. It's at a garage. But the guy says he can do cylinder etc. But can't fix or change piston?0

It had on the side of one of four was so hot apparently0
