Porting query re dialaphone cashback
I have a contract with CPW O2 which is coming to an end. I have received a PAC code, and have been informed by an O2 customer service rep that they can port my number to a new O2 contract using the CPWO2 PAC code (because apparently CPW O2 use a completely separate billing system).
All this sounds OK, however the contract i wish to take out is a cashback redemption via dialaphone, and I was curious to know whether my migration from CPW O2 to O2 would potentially cause any problems when it came to claiming my cashback. I cant initially see how it would as Dialaphone seem to pass all porting issues direct to the networks to process.
Just interested to see whether anyone has any direct experience of having done this or has any views?
Thanks

I have a cashback contract with DAP and I had ported my number from 3 to 02 without any problems.
I just have received my first cashbac from dap, if that helps.0 -
It depends on which cashback you're concerned with. Terminating the contract early by using the PAC code will invalidate any claims remaining at CPW. As for Dialaphone - I've had my eyes on a deal for a while but steadfastly refuse to use them (or the rest of Phones4u) unless and until they put their actual t&c properly in print. That print must also detail the t&c and not simply gloss over them leaving you to find out what happens "as you go along". I trust NO retailer who doesn't even do that - no matter how many good expoeriences people have reported in the past (including me extensively with Phones4u).0

follow MobileJunkie's word not to miss your last cashback from existing contract.0 -
My contract is complete with CPW and final claim is away to them, so no worries on that front.
Narika, can you clarify how DAP become aware of your ported number - do you inform them in some way. As far as I can see they sign you up to a contract with O2 and then YOU contact O2 to have the number port completed. How do DAP cope with a cashback claim when the number on your bill changes?0 -

login to DAP account and you will find a button next to your phone number with 'Update Number' click on that and give in the number there.
its very simple, I did not call DAP to give my ported no. All I did was like above and my first cashback came through two weeks ago.0
