Hello!
Can anyone recommend a reputable double glazing firm in the Cardiff area, please?

No self-proclamations, please! :)

I used discount UPVC. They dont advertise much, if at all. They were recommended to me by a site manager who's used them professionally and privately, and I used them and found them to be great. Good prices, ok with doing exactly what you want.

They're based in Culverhouse Cross and the number's 029 20551886. I dont think they have a website.
  • We've used Dinas Windows in Barry. They were recommended to us by several different people.

Dinas Windows are very competitive and very good - they're going to do a window for me in dec.

i've always used welsh windows and so have my parents, but cavan is so busy and so forgetful that i've decided to use someone else.

We've recently had our windows done and got a competitive price from a local smaller company. I tried ringing people like Stay bright and anglian but I did'nt like their sales style. When I contacted them they insisted that both myself and my wife were in when the sales man came. I said that it did'nt matter who was here as long as you come, measure up, give me a price and dissapear for me to make a decision in private. They would'nt do this so i told them not to bother, If someone wants my business they do it my way! Anyway we used Monmouthshire double glazing and they gave me a good price and the windows are of good qualitiy too, no sales patter, he just came, measured up, gave me a price and left for me to decide - no pressure.

    Thanks again, all!

    Altea:
I called went down the Staybrite route too and got the same bull.
Then they failed to turn up after they re-organised to come earlier than arranged. Then I re-scheduled for the following weekend and they failed to turn up again. Had no call from them!

When I called and spoke to them, they were surprised that I didn't want to book another appointment! Eh? What are they like..!?

This made me laugh: I also got a call from them a few weeks later asking me how the appointment went and what was the service like. I told them exactly what I thought! :)
Plus; If they cannot be bothered to turn up - TWICE - what reliability are they going to show if I get them to come fit me windows..?

    Stuff 'em! :D

I'll look onto Monmouthshire Double Glazing! Thanks!!
