Very Aggressive Phone Call

About half an hour ago the phone rang and on the other end was a young-sounding man saying that he was from the Anglo American Asset Corporation and that I had previously entered an online competition to win £5,000 in shares. When I told him I had never entered this competition and had he ever heard of the TPS he turned very nasty. He called me a liar, said I had entered the competition and that the TPS rules don't apply because it wasn't a cold call. I then said that I was hanging up but he said he would ring back. This he did FIVE times. I dialled 1471 but there was no information as to the number. Has anyone had similar phone calls?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

3 tips
one - when they call put the phone one the side & leave it
it costs them money for int calls
two - ask if they dont mind that the call is recorded for leagal reasons
three - wind em up, ask em what they are wearing, or say hang on while I wipe my backside, or Im just about to have a shag, can you hold on 30 mins etc
I find winding them up works the bestnever take advice from broke or unsuccessful people

Once you've left them hanging on for a little while get a whistle and blow it down the line :-)0

I've found the best way of dealing with any unwanted sales call is to just put the phone down - next to the receiver where I leave it for 10 minutes, and then replace it.
There are many other ways (clever, funny, etc) of handling the problem, but at the end of the day it's easier just to walk away.
An aggressive response to the call is only likely to upset one's own personal karma.0 -
